Welcome to Isolabona!
About Isolabona
A beautifully situated, typical Italian village
10 kilometers from the beach.
In the green Nervia valley, the late medieval village is located in the middle of the river NerviaI (transl. beautiful island). Upstream along this river are the equally beautiful villages of Pigna and Castelvittorio, and downstream Dolceacqua, Camporosso and finally the coastal towns of Ventimiglia, Bordighera and the famous San Remo. The mountainous area offers an abundance of nature, culture and great restaurants. Isolabona with its typical subterranean alleys is home to about 700 inhabitants and where life is still enjoyed at a slow pace.

Environment
The Nervia Valley and the adjacent Mediterranean coast, also called the Riviera of Flowers, has been a popular holiday destination for travelers from various countries for many decades. It is the ideal area for travelers looking for the wild and untouched mountainous nature, as well as for those who are looking for the cozy beaches with countless bars and good restaurants. The friendly residents of this area live a stone's throw from the French border and immediately give you the feeling of the well-known Italian hospitality. They are proud of the famous Ligurian cuisine that naturally uses the products that the area has to offer. Last but not least, Ligurian olive oil is one of the favorite ingredients of world-renowned top chefs. But in addition to the high-quality cuisine, the area also offers a lot of culture through the many local sights, markets and lively street parties. In addition, the area is ideal for cyclists, bikers and hikers. But of course also for those who prefer to experience the sweet beach life without much effort.
